The rapid rise of digital art and the expansion of interactive and immersive exhibitions have brought technology to the center of the latest masterpieces coming to the forefront of commercial visual art.
From the Liangzhu-based Chinese museum offering its visitors augmented reality glasses to digital artist Beeple selling his work for $69 million, technology’s immersion in the modern art space has transformed the experience for both creators and viewers.

The Colour & Post space allows visitors to create their own pieces after being inspired by everything they have witnessed. At the end of the exhibition, viewers can tour Van Gogh’s life through an immersive, 11-minute VR experience to feel what it would be like to walk a day in his shoes.
2. Illusionaries, London
Illusionaries is a captivating art exposition that takes visitors on a 40-minute transformative journey across three galleries. Through mind-bending installations, it challenges perceptions and provokes deep thought. The exhibition cleverly employs cutting-edge technology to create a multisensory adventure, engaging sight, sound, and touch.
One of the installations, titled Epilogue, serves as an intriguing introduction to the exhibition’s titular character. Visitors are immersed in a 360-degree projection that showcases mesmerizing 2D animations. Themes of greed, jealousy, fear, and competition are skillfully woven into the visuals, captivating viewers and setting the stage for the immersive experience to come.
With Before the Meaning Comes, visitors encounter a series of infinity mirrors that serve as windows into the protagonist’s journey of rebirth. Lastly, Primordial Gardeners offers an intimate escape room experience. It combines soothing acoustics, gentle mist, and captivating visual projections to create a serene and calming atmosphere. 3. Refik Anadol’s installation, MoMA
Refik Anadol: Unsupervised at MoMA is an innovative exploration of artificial intelligence and data visualization. Through a combination of large-scale projections, mesmerizing visuals, and dynamic audio, Anadol’s installation translates vast amounts of data into stunning artistic representations.

The environment of MoMA’s Gund Lobby influences the shifting imagery and sound, responding to changes in light, movement, acoustics, and even the weather.

Combining AI-aided visual production, an original musical score created from galactic data, and stunning imagery and findings from the James Webb Space Telescope, the exhibition offers a truly immersive and awe-inspiring experience.
Visitors can delve into six supporting installations within the exhibition that offer unique insights into captivating topics. They have the opportunity to discover the potential societal impact of a Carrington Event, unveiling the staggering consequences it would have on our society. Through the exposition, visitors can also experience the dreams of Mars Rovers brought to life through AI, offering a glimpse into the aspirations of these robotic explorers.
